Meany Lodge Family Hiking Weekend 2009
Addy leads us back to the trailhead on Sunday
Thank you to all the families who participated in Meany Lodge's Family Hiking Weekend in 2009. We enjoyed hosting all of you at the lodge this year. Thank you Ray Hecox, Andre Ford and Jennifer Dineen for preparing all that wonderful food. A big thank you to Chris Caviezel for his work organizing hikes, recruiting leaders and leading hikes this year. Thank you Mark Abrams, Barbra Folmer and Monty Pratt for coming to family hiking weekend and leading hikes. Thanks Sojin for the your route finding skills leading the Berry Hikers back to Meany Lodge. Thanks Chuck Welter and Jim Fahey for opening the lodge to us and being onsite to make everything go smoothly. Thank you Emilio Marasco who put in extra duty on-line working with the sign-up and web site.
Special thanks to Craig "the Jester" Brown and Kathy "Blooming Idiot" Brown for sharing their enthusiasm for Geocaching. Everybody had a great time searching the grounds for treasure.

Meany is open many weekends this fall for work parties. The cost for lodging and that great Meany food is your time and a little labor. Check the Meany Lodge home page or contact Chuck Welter for more information.
Ski season starts the week after Christmas and runs into March. The lodge is open every weekend, Friday through Sunday. Ski and snowboard lessons are available for adults and children as multi-week programs or single, drop-in lessons. See the Winter Sports website for program details.
Family Hiking Weekend 2010 is the first weekend of August. Please put it on your calendar. We hope to see you next year, if not sooner.
