Meany Lodge

The Mountaineers oldest winter sports resort, located approximately 60 miles east from Seattle off I-90 near Stampede Pass and surrounded by the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Meany Lodge provides a warm family environment for all - perfect for winter and summer adventures alike.

Visitors to Meany

Welcome to winters at Meany Lodge!  Come up to build your adventure with things like skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, snow fort and igloo build, reading a relaxing book in the Lodge, meeting new people, playing board and card games, helping cook in the big kitchen, and more!

Ski, Snowboard or Telemark classes

Meany offer lessons for folks wanting to get started in these sports, or to take the skills they have developed cruising groomers into the off-piste world of powder, steeps and trees.  We offer single-day lessons, or four lesson series.

Up-hill Travel classes

Looking to get into backcountry skiing?  Meany offers a class on up-hill travel to help get you started:  Up-Hill Travel Class Offerings

COVID Policy

The Meany policy for this winter with respect to feeling unwell is:

Testing for Covid is not required for entry into the lodge.

If any member of your guest party feels unwell in any way, we encourage you to email the lodge chair to cancel your reservation.  The lodge chair will process a full refund for your stay.

If you begin to feel unwell during your lodge stay we will immediately transport you and your party back to the parking lot so that you can recover in the comfort of your own space and not risk sharing your potential illness with others.

We will look forward to seeing you again as soon as you are feeling good.

During the winter season, Meany offers a range of activities including ski / snowboarding facilities, ski lessons, snowshoe treks, cross country skiing, as well as room and board for overnight guests.

Weekend stay reservations and cancellations must be made before Thursday at noon.

UpcomING Events

  • Patrol Race 2025 will be held March 15, 2025 - The Patrol Race is a 19-mile backcountry ski race between Snoqualmie Pass and Meany Lodge.  Registration for the 2025 Patrol Race is now open!  See the Patrol Race page for information and finishing times.

Coming to Meany Lodge when it is winter time?  (typically November 15th to May)  Here are the winter driving directions to Meany Lodge

You will be parking in the  Crystal Springs sno-park (map) which requires you to purchase a state-issued sno-park permit before you arrive or at the kiosk by the parking lot entrance. You must purchase one of the following combinations: An annual Sno-Park permit WITH "groomed trails sticker" ($120) OR a day use Sno-Park permit ($25).  Hint: Planning to spend 5 or more days parked in any of the state's Sno-Parks?  If so, the annual pass + groomed trails sticker is cheaper.
